Hello, my name is Nuala Sinnott. I'm a psychotherapist who has a comprehensive connection to people experiencing food issues. As an ex - sufferer who has completely recovered from an eating disorder, I walk the walk and understand the challenges that my clients face on a daily basis.
I treat people in a holistic manner, by embracing all the traits of the person i.e. their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual attributes.
Every individual is unique as is their lifestyle. Consequently the issues and symptoms which they incur are specific to them and so are the tools they require to overcome these obstacles.
My focus is on making quality of life better today! Working together as a team, my client and I establish what goals they want to achieve. We then set about forming a strategy that will provide a favourable environment in which these targets can be manifested.
The past only serves as a road map telling us how we got here. I concentrate on dealing with the here and now. Empowering clients to make positive life decisions which enable them to live the life they want and were meant to lead.
If you want to contact me please e-mail the website. I look forward to sharing life's journey with you.
Love, Lights & Peace,
Nuala x

Hi,
my name is Katie O'Hara and I am based in Co Laois.
My background is in rehabilitation and I have worked for many years helping clients achieve their full potential through personalized programmes.
I use a cognitive-behavioural approach because this method is solution focused and allows the client to formulate a plan which addresses the factors maintaining their problem.
CBT facilitates long lasting change by working on both cognitive and behavioural levels. This allows the client to develop coping skills which can have a life-long positive impact. I work collaboratively with my clients and recognize the strengths which an individual can bring to the therapy session.
My style is relaxed and open which allows progress at the clients own pace.
I believe it is very important to provide an environment where the individual feels safe and able to communicate freely.

Specializing in Food / Body / Weight Issues
It takes courage to look for help and the initial step is difficult. I am here to help you break free from obsessions with food, weight and body, and to create a more relaxed and healthy relationship with yourself and food. Some problems are too ingrained, too habitual and too big to solve on our own. You deserve to be healthy & happy, to live actively, eat well and feel good about yourself and others. My intention is to help you be independent, positive, energetic and at peace inside and out. An eating disorder is not who you are, it is what you are suffering from.
Treatment:
We look at what your goal is. We explore your world and develop strategies tailored to your specific personality and lifestyle. We will focus on the current problems and underlying issues. I am person centred and solution focused. I want to hear your truth.
I believe a practitioner & client working on all levels and using several therapeutic interventions concurrently can achieve positive and complete results. Each person will be empowered with Life-Long practical skills, tools, knowledge, insights, information, support, education and fresh perspectives which can result in permanent change.
Recovery is 100% Possible:
It will be a journey of self discovery. We humans are very complex and sometimes we need somebody who will accept us, encourage us, support us, challenge us and hold us accountable.
When you are recovered, food and weight take a proper perspective in your life, and what you weigh is not more important than who you are; in fact, actual numbers are of little or no importance at all.
When recovered, you will not compromise your health or betray your soul to look a certain way, wear a certain size, or reach a certain number on a scale.
When you are recovered, you do not use self destructive behaviours to deal with, distract from, or cope with other problems.

Anne Gaynor: (BA Psych., LBCAI, EDRCI)
As a certified coach with the Life and Business Coaching Association of Ireland, as well as being a qualified member of the Eating Disorder Resource Centre of Ireland, I provide a person-centered approach to helping my clients deal with any disordered relationship with food. I believe that the coaching approach compliments the work required when overcoming any issues a person has developed with food.
Peoples' disordered relationship with food is something that I will help them unlearn through one to one counselling sessions. Elements of my approach include addressing the nature of the disordered relationship with food; providing a safe and nurturing environment where a person can go on a journey of self-discovery; and working with the client to develop a treatment plan that suits them.
The use of specific coaching techniques adds a further dimension to the work I do with my clients, this includes:
- Working with a person to identify their key values
- Reviewing their current situation in order to identify areas where the way they are living is falling short of their values.
- Providing a person with a toolset that will help them move closer to their values
My belief is that each person I work with has the answer to their problems within themselves, my work is to help them to recognise that. This person-centered view is supplemented by a cognitive-behavioural approach where appropriate.
I am based in bandon, Co Cork and work with all age groups.
